If your blog lists your individual posts in order of the date that they were published, like most blogs do, then the older your blog post gets, the lower down the website architecture it goes. Over the past couple of years, SEO has significantly changed as search engines get smarter. There is a huge difference between what SEO was five or two years ago and what it is today. Before you publish, please proofread! Google doesn’t like spelling or grammar errors. Oh and don’t try to hide your keywords by, for example, placing them behind images because Google is much smarter than that. If you were to build a house and the foundation was in terrible condition, you’d have a lot of issues, regardless of how nice you decorated the interior. The same is true for SEO. You need to have a great foundation on your website.
Earning backlinks from multiple domains is invaluable
Whenever a high authority blog links to your website, Google considers it as a positive signal toward your blog. Your blog becomes more important and it gives your site a boost in search rankings. The more backlinks you have, the higher you rank on Google Search. In the past, Google
has stated that the country within which a website is
hosted is a very small factor in their international ranking algorithms. So try to
have servers set up in your target countries. For example, if your company is
based in the UK and you have a .fr extension of your site, have the .fr domain
extension site hosted on a server in France. By creating great relevant content with the right keywords and having a few decent backlinks built to those content pages, you can easily rank in Google depending on the competition for that particular search. Competition with a comparable piece of content will beat you in the rankings if they have a better link profile and vice versa. Even with more and more consumers using their mobile devices to search and browse the web, there are some companies that still focus all their marketing and SEO efforts to desktops and choose to ignore their mobile customers (or just don’t realize how mobile their customers really are).
The most obvious SEO tactic
SEO is not just one technique, if you focus on just one thing you will not get the full benefits of SEO and you risk losing everything if Google change their algorithm again. The key is to
use SEO and content marketing together. Yes, SEO requires a lot of content, but that doesn’t mean you should pin all your hopes on that single aspect of online marketing. We want to come at this from all angles. While your company may have a budget too small to implement a broad range of SEO services and strategies, investing in one or two things is a great start. It is certainly better than not investing at all in internet marketing. Launching a new website without putting 301 redirects in place
is literally committing SEO suicide. Not only will you lose all of
your past SEO history, your rankings (and traffic!) will plummet.

Keep your title tag under 55 characters
Links don't matter that much for ranking in the Featured Snippet when you already rank on page one of Google. A general rule to
follow when creating your new URLs: use dashes (-) between words
instead of underscores (_). Google treats dashes as separators, which means it can
return results when you search for a single word that appears in a URL and when
you search for a group of words that appears in a URL. In contrast, Google treats
underscores as connectors, which means it will only return results when you search
for a group of connected words that appears in a URL. The bottom line: using dashes
creates more opportunities for your pages to be discovered. The overall objective of SEO is to optimise a website for search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo. Don't go overboard with your internal linking or you risk overwhelming the reader. One or two relevant links per post is usually a good maximum, with more in longer posts.
